We were hired to clean the roof and the solar panels from all the soot and ash. Solar panel cleaning should be done only by a professional with the proper brushed and water. We use pure water on the solar panels. If one is to use regular tap water the are risking the panels by the chance of leaving hard to remove calcium and efflorescence. Soaps are also no good on the panels, the soap could cause mechanical problems with the solar panels.
